The goal is to develop practically viable energy materials and electrochemical systems to achieve energy storage, water treatment, battery recycling, etc. Meanwhile, we aims to unravel the fundamental structure-property-performance interplays to achieve rational bottom-up materials design. Current research interests are in redox flow batteries, organic battery materials, redox mediators, membrane materials, porous carbon, solvation structures, ionic liquids, etc. We adopt highly interdisciplinary approaches including organic and organometallic synthesis, materials science, electrochemistry, spectroscopic characterizations and theoretical calculations.
This is the right place to explore the unknowns and satisfy your curiosity! We are seeking motivated graduate, undergraduate and pre-college students to join our research group.
