2024 professional development workshop - Women in Engineering Program - Purdue University

At the Pre-Symposium Workshop at the Third Annual Grad WiE Network Symposium, Bich-Van Pham, PhD, and Jinsha Li, PhD, led workshops addressing key aspects of professional development. Pham’s session, "How to Talk About Yourself," provided strategies for effectively communicating skills and experiences in professional settings, helping participants build confidence in networking and interviews. Li’s workshop, "Navigating Your First Job," focused on transitioning from academia to industry, covering workplace expectations, career growth strategies and common challenges new professionals face. Both workshops aligned with the symposium’s theme, "Sharing Your Voice, Taking Your Next Leap," by equipping attendees with essential communication and career navigation skills to support their professional success.
