Supporting the success of Purdue Engineering students

Purdue University’s engineering legacy is built by students who persist, graduate and go on to lead. That success does not happen by chance. It is made possible through consistent, structured support when students need it most.

Engineering Student Success (ESS) provides that support.

ESS serves engineering students across Purdue’s campuses from enrollment through graduation, offering academic resources, mentoring and programming that strengthen persistence, confidence and long-term success.

Your impact

Your gift directly supports students by helping:

  • Provide free tutoring and academic support through the Engineering Success Center
  • Expand peer mentoring and community-building opportunities
  • Deliver transition and academic success programming for first-year students
  • Connect students to career readiness experiences, internships and professional development

Why giving matters

Engineering is rigorous, and many students face challenges that can impact their ability to persist. Access to timely academic support, guidance and community can make the difference between dropping out and graduating.

ESS ensures that students are not navigating this experience alone.

Continuing a legacy of support

For many students and alumni, this work reflects the impact of the legacy built by Marion Williamson Blalock and Virginia Booth Womack, who established community and mentorship and supported student success.

That commitment continues through ESS, expanding support to reach more students while maintaining a focus on those who benefit most from these resources.
