Every year, over 300+ students across Indiana and surrounding states come to Purdue for Engineering Apex. This event, hosted by PSEF, offers prospective engineers the opportunity to explore the world of engineering during a day filled with exciting and engaging activities. Participants learn about the many fields of engineering and gain hands-on experience with the engineering design process.
The Apex committee is responsible for planning and organizing this event. The majority of the committee’s time is spent brainstorming, drafting, and editing the impromptu, which includes a quiz bowl section and two design challenges. The committee invites guest speakers, sets up a student organization fair, provides lunch for the student participants, and runs many other behind the scenes activities. Members of the Apex committee gain valuable insight from running an event of this size by learning the different aspects of event planning.
