MSE Undergraduate Awarded Energy University Program Scholarship

Materials Engineering undergraduate student, Alejandro Figueroa, was awarded the 2017 Nuclear Energy University Program Scholarship from the U.S.. Department of Energy. He will receive a $7500 scholarship. He is one of 58 undergraduates across the U.S. to receive this award.

Alejandro has been working with Prof. Okuniewskis group since the Fall of 2016 where he has been performing porosity analyses in irradiated nuclear fuel obtained from high energy X-ray (synchrotron) micro-computed tomography.
