Matthew and Madi attended CPHS 2022 held in Houston,Texas. Matthew presented his work on "Exploring Features for Inferring Takeover in SAE Level Automated Vehicles" and Madi presented her work on "A Heuristic Strategy for Cognitive State-based Feedback Control to Accelerate Human Learning."

Madi and Ara both attended the Women in Mechanical Engineering Symposium at Purdue. Madi helped with organizing the research poster session and also presented some of her work to prospective women in Mechanical Engineering students as well as students in Purdue's FYE program.

Jianqi and Uduak attended MECC 2022 in Jersey City, New Jersey. Jianqi presented his work on "A Training-Free Data-Driven Method for Input-Output Modeling of Complex Processes" and Uduak presented his work on "Physics-Guided Machine Learning (PGML) for feedback Control in Additive Manufacturing(AM)" at the MECC 2022 Rising Stars Invited Talk session.


Uduak Inyang-Udoh and Jianqi Ruan selected to talk at MECC 2022

Uduak was selected for the ASME Dynamic Systems and Controls Division Rising Stars invited talk at MECC 2022. He will discuss his work on “Physics-Guided Machine Learning (PGML) for Feedback Control in Additive Manufacturing (AM)” on October 3rd. Jianqi was also selected to present at MECC2022 on" A Training-Free Data-Driven Method for Input-Output Modeling of Complex Process. Congratuations!

Congratulations to Soojay for winning 3rd place for the SROP poster presentation and Madi for receiving the SURF graduate mentor award after being nominated by Kylie. Everyone did a great job this summer!

Trevor presented his work on "Unions and complements of Hybrid Zonotopes" and "Set-Based Reachability and the Explicit Solution of Linear MPC using Hybrid Zonotopes." Jianqi presented his work on "Applying a Deep Q-Network for Human Operator Behavioral Modeling and Decision Support in a Twin-Roll Casting Process" and Uduak presented his work on "Model-Free Multi-Objective Iterative Learning Control for Selective Laser Melting." Madi presented her work on "Evaluation of Cognitive State Feedback for Accelerating Human Learning" at the experimental demo.
