Navigating the Road to Sustainable and Efficient Decarbonization in Commercial Vehicle Fleets

Leveraging Connectivity, Automation, and AI Solutions

Abstract:

Transportation is responsible for over 30% of greenhouse gas emissions in the US, with medium and heavy-duty vehicles accounting for more than 20% of those emissions despite making up only about 5% of vehicles on the road. Given the essential role these vehicles play in the economy through heavy load shipments and high daily mileage, it is imperative that we find sustainable solutions to mitigate their impact. As a technology company, Cummins is committed to meeting these sustainability challenges by providing a comprehensive portfolio of power solutions spanning alternative fuels, electrification, fuel cells, and advanced energy solutions. By leveraging advancements in connectivity, automation, and AI, we can drive operational efficiencies and reduce maintenance, enabling customers and end-users to achieve smarter, more resilient, and sustainable operations. In this talk, we will explore how connectivity, automation, and AI can enable a more efficient and resilient path toward decarbonized and autonomous freight transportation.
