About HIVE
The Hub for Innovation, Ventures, and Entrepreneurship (HIVE) is Purdue University’s entrepreneurship center, operated by the College of Engineering. HIVE supports student-led startups focused on tech- or engineering-driven solutions. Located in the Duncan Annex (BHEE 270/280) of the Max W. & Maileen Brown Family Hall, with easy access to most STEM students, HIVE is a dedicated space for those actively building ventures and making meaningful progress. HIVE is designed for builders. It brings together select students from across Purdue who are already working on startups and ready to move faster. This is not a space for exploring an idea—it’s for students building, testing, and advancing real ventures. Questions? Email us at HIVE@purdue.edu
Made Possible by the Fisher Family
HIVE was made possible by a $10 million commitment from the AGE Fisher Family Foundation, established by Jeff (BS electrical engineering '80) and Edie (BS retail management '80) Fisher — two Purdue alumni who met on campus and went on to build remarkable careers in the technology industry. Jeff spent most of his career at NVIDIA, where he played a key role during the company's rise as one of the most consequential technology companies in the world. Their gift is a deeply personal one. As Jeff Fisher has said, "programs like HIVE didn't exist when they were at Purdue, and he believes it will provide a needed resource for engineering students passionate about starting their own companies." For the Fishers, HIVE is a way of giving back to the place where their own journey began.
