From the Dean

Welcome again to the new Purdue Engineering Impact Online. In this second edition, as in future issues, we give you a snapshot of some of the many happenings in Purdue Engineering taken through the lens of our strategic plan’s four stories.

This time we invite you to celebrate with alumnus and former faculty member Arthur Bond, recently recognized with the naming of a building for him at Alabama A&M University. We also share the inspiring efforts of faculty members Kumares Sinha, Brent Jesiek and others whose work from Bangladesh to China is helping define what it means to have global impact. And we are pleased to introduce you to graduate student David Reese, whose passion for rocket propulsion is likely to ignite your enthusiasm as much as it did mine.
