EE544Q: Course Policy
ECE544: Course Policy
It is assumed that students taking this course have some familiarity with analog modulation and some previous exposure to elementary concepts of probability and random processes. If this is not the case, then some extra effort will be required by the student to supplement the material presented in class. Sections of the textbook that are not used in class include helpful supplemental material.
A tentative syllabus of course reading assignments and topics is provided. The syllabus will be adapted according to the perceived needs of the students as the course progresses.
Please notice the exam dates. If you are unable to appear for an exam for any reason, please contact Professor Lehnert by phone before the hour of the exam. It is assumed that you will be present for every class period, but under any circumstances you are responsible for any information passed out in class.
To request a regrade on an exam, do not make any alterations to your returned exam. On a separate sheet define precisely your specific request regarding the particular part of the particular problem. Sign and date the request for the regrade underneath the statement, "I have made no additions or alterations to my exam after it was returned to me." Return the exam and the statement requesting the regrade to the instructor within 24 hours of receiving the graded exam.
Office hours for contacting the Course Instructor are set up.
Cases of copying from someone else during an exam, or submitting an exam for a regrade after altering it, or of other forms of dishonesty or cheating will result in all of the following:
1) A score of zero on the assignment or exam involved.
2) A meeting with the Assistant Head for Education.
3) Probable revocation of any TA or RA or Fellowship.
4) Notification of the Office of the Dean of Students with additional penalties assessed by that office. (Expulsion from the University is possible.)
