EWB-Purdue EPICS-EWB: Online Lab Details

Hello all,

I hope you all have had a restful break and are getting ready to try school in a new way. As promised, though a little bit later than I had hoped, here are some instructions about how EWB will be going to work for the next 8 weeks as we go fully online.


  *   We will still be having lab Wednesdays 6-7:50 EST
     *   These will be held using Cisco Webex
     *   Online labs will be conducted in a similar manner to regular labs
        *   There will be a time for weekly announcements and PIGS, followed by time for teams to split off and work individually
        *   Advisors will be scheduled to join the calls at certain times so each team will have access to them
     *   In each weekly email, a link to join the Webex call will be sent out
        *   There will be one link to join at 6pm to join the whole chapter and other links for each team
     *   You do not need to create a Webex account to join
     *   New members are expected to join us still for weekly labs
     *   Please make sure both your camera and microphone are working correctly prior to meetings
  *   Design meetings will be conducted by each design lead
     *   Your design lead will be contacting you soon to decide on when to hold these meetings each week
     *   You will again be using Webex for these meetings as well
  *   Attendance will be taken by your design leads for each meeting in lab
     *   You will not need to mark down your own attendance
  *   EPICS requirements
     *   Please see Andrew Pierce’s email for more details on this
     *   You will still be responsible for ALL EPICS requirements (i.e. PDHs, peer evals, IER, notebooks)
     *   We will be sending out more information as to how End-of-Semester design review will be conducted as  the time gets closer
  *   Slack will be replacing GroupMe from now on
     *   Please see the GroupMe message on how to join the Slack if you have not already
  *   Make sure your read ALL of Hollie’s weekly emails!
     *   This is how we will be communicating vital information every week
  *   Don’t wait to reach out to your design leads, leadership team, or even the advisors if you have issues or concerns
