Rodney Brooks, PhD, has been a professor of robotics at MIT, was co-founder of iRobot, is an international scholar, and is now chief evangelist (aka founder, chairman and chief technology officer) at Rethink Robotics. He has consistently revolutionized the field of robotics worldwide.
Dr. Brooks visited Purdue as the featured guest of for the National Robotics Week by the Purdue Robotics Accelerator on April 8th, 2014.
As part of his visit, he toured the ISAT lab were graduate students members discussed and showcased their research projects regarding: robotic teleoperation, computer-vision techniques applied to surgical telementoring, and gesture recognition towards assistive technologies for people with quadriplegia.
