Tariq U. Saeed (tJ), Ph.D.
          


    About
           Dr. Tariq Usman Saeed is a research affiliate of the Center for Connected and Automated Transportation (CCAT) at Purdue University. He also served as the Chief Executive Officer of TransPeshawar, an urban mobility company of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Pakistan, responsible for one of the leading third-generation bus rapid transit (BRT) systems in South and West Asia and bicycle sharing system for last mile connectivity, named "Zu Peshawar". He is a Fulbright alumnus and holds a doctoral degree in dual majors, Transportation & Infrastructure Systems Engineering and Computational Engineering, from Purdue University. As part of his doctoral studies, he also attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Eidgenossische Technische Hochschule (ETH) Zurich. This cross-cultural, international exposure has been a great asset in his professional pursuit of enhancing and improving urban infrastructure and transportation systems and landscape in his native KP province, particularly the Peshawar Metropolitan region. Dr. Saeed has diverse professional experience, actively pursuing a career in both academia and industry. Dr. Saeed continues to teach graduate courses as an adjunct associate professor and mentor graduate research students.
