Turbojet engines are about the simplest jet engine possible. Flow is undivided all the way through the engine, and all of the basic components are there. There are not many models of turbojet still produced, as they are considered obsolete in favor of turbofan engines. Turbojets were used extensively for many years in both military and civilian applications.
