More about Rui Wu

I believe in the end, people will not remember those things I proudly put on my resume. But they will judge me through how I treat others as human beings.

I respect and love the people around me. I am pretty sure when I am going to die, the only things I would be thinking of are not how much money I earned, or how successful I was, but definitely the people who I loved and who loved me in my life. I feel grateful to all my friends who help me make into who I am today.

I love making friends, playing table-tennis, collecting coins, snow-skiing(will learn snowboard), swimming, jogging, driving myself in the dark, etc.

You would be very likely to see me swimming in the Boilermaker Aquatic Center of Purdue Recreation Sports Center (RSC) between 7 pm and 8 pm on weekdays.

Traveling and talking with the local people and meeting friends are my favorate thing to do in my spare time. I have been to 120 cities in 6 countries.

I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I go to Greater Lafayette Chinese Alliance Church, West Lafayette, IN. I went to the local church every time I visited a new city. I have also been to Calvary Baptist Church (West Lafayette, IN), Covenant Church (West Lafayette, IN), White Horse Christian Church (West Lafayette, IN), Princeton Christian Church (Priceton, NJ), Princeton Alliance Church (Princeton, NJ), Chinese for Christ Church in San Jose (San Jose, CA), Silicon Valley Alliance Church, (Milpitas, CA), Emeth Chapel (Boston, MA), Harvest Chinese Christian Church (Arlington, VA), Bread of Life Christian Church (San Diego, CA), University City Chinese Christian Church, (Philadelphia, PA), Hengtong Christian Church (Baltimore, Maryland), Peoples Church of Montreal (Montreal, Canada), Rainbow Home Church (Singapore), etc.

I was serving as the President of Association of Purdue Chinese Alumni from Oct. 2010 to April 2012. From Sept. 2009 to Oct. 2010, I was the head of Purdue Chinese Alumni Communication Committee of Association of Purdue Chinese Alumni (APCA). As the president, I was responsible for strategies and decisions making for the overall development of APCA. During my service and presidency, I was invited to meet Purdue president Dr. France Cordova and Indiana Lt. Governor Becky Skillman. We are in touch with over 300 Purdue alumni working in China (Americans, Chinese, etc) right now. The number will grow up substantially with the development of APCA. We are happy to bridge Purdue alumni and local Purdue alumni club. If you want to join the Purdue Chinese alumni database or need an introduction to join the local Purdue alumni clubs in China, please shoot me an email (Email: rwu@purdue.edu) and I would be more than happy to help.

If you are interested in knowing more about me, you are very welcome to see my profiles on social networking websites Facebook and linkedin. Thanks!

Quotations

"Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices in truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)

"I asked God for strength that I might achieve. I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey.

I asked for health that I might do greater things. I was given infirmity that I might do better things.

I asked for riches that I might be happy. I was given poverty that I might be wise.

I asked for power that I might have the praise of men. I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God.

I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. I was given life that I might enjoy all things.

I got nothing that I asked for, but everything I hoped for.

Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.

I am, among all men, most richly blessed." (Someone)
