- Sediment from improperly managed construction sites, cropland and eroding
streambanks.
- Salt from irrigation practices and acid drainage from abandoned mines.
- Bacteria and nutrients from livestock, pet wastes, and faulty septic
systems.
- Atmospheric deposition and hydromodification are also sources of nonpoint
source pollution.
