All-solid-state batteries

project 1

Solid-state lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) using highly conductive and nonflammable solid electrolytes are being considered as the next-generation batteries due to their ability to address the safety and energy density issues of traditional liquid electrolyte-based LIBs. However, solid-state electrolytes present new challenges, with the solid-solid interface between the electrode and electrolyte being one of the most difficult issues. This project suggests changing the solid-solid interface to a liquid-solid interface by replacing the solid electrode with a liquid metal electrode in solid-state electrolyte LIBs.
