Upadhyay, a junior from Ahmedabad, India, is pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University in Indianapolis. She is a member of the Leadership Team for M&M and actively involved in the Biomedical Engineering Society, and Purdue Orientation Programs. Alongside her engineering studies, Maithili is an enthusiastic dancer, currently pursuing a second degree in Indian classical dance form of Kathak. Beyond her academic and dance commitments, she loves going to the gym, baking, reading, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

"The M&M program has played a significant role in my personal and professional growth. It offers a unique comfort zone- an environment where I can learn and evolve, while still being immersed in the real world. Through M&M, I have connected with others who are navigating similar experiences, which has provided me with reality checks, affirmations, and the support I need to keep moving forward.

As a member of the Leadership Team, leading the inaugural M&M program in Indianapolis comes with a deep sense of responsibility. My goals are twofold: to uphold the legacy and core values that make M&M so special, and to ensure that our students in Indianapolis have access to the best resources and opportunities. I am excited to offer the same comfort zone and growth opportunities to fellow women, creating a community where we can all succeed together."
