Hope is a junior from St. Louis, MO studying Mechanical Engineering. She has experience as a co-op with Barry-Wehmiller Design Group in St. Louis as a packaging engineer. While co-oping, Hope had the opportunity to perform factory acceptance tests, manage on-site contractors, and conduct audits at different packaging facilities. Additionally, she has worked as an electrical engineering intern for LangeTech Inc. in St. Louis. At LangeTech, Hope designed and programmed a variety of water tank treatment systems and HMI interfaces using Rockwell’s Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View Studio, and Inductive Ignition. This upcoming summer, Hope will be interning with Boeing as a Systems Engineer. Outside of PMEA, Hope is involved in her sorority Kappa Alpha Theta and the Purdue Professional Practice Ambassadors.

Mackenzie is a Senior from Fort Wayne, Indiana studying Mechanical Engineering at Purdue with a minor in Environmental and Ecological Engineering. This upcoming summer she plans to work with GE Vernova in Wilmington, NC as a mechanical engineer in the nuclear power development team. Last summer, she worked for AES corporation in the Transmission Planning department as an intern. She developed her skills in project management and budget optimization for large scale transmission and distribution projects. In 2024, Mackenzie worked for American Electric Power at the D.C. Cook Nuclear power plant in the mechanical design department working to develop her skills in technical writing while also contributing to design calculations within plant systems. Within Purdue Mechanical Engineering Ambassadors (PMEA), she currently serves on the student events committee. Previously she has served as secretary (fall 2025) and committee head for the outreach team (spring 2025) to bring both the Purdue and local communities together. Additionally, she is an instructor for How Stuff Works. She has also been involved in the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) as a member of the Grand Prix team and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) sustainability team. In her free time, Mackenzie enjoys sewing, baking, and spending time with friends and family.

Eva is a senior from Sykesville, Maryland studying Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, she will work for Boeing Defense in St. Louis Missouri. The past two summers, she interned at Northrop Grumman working in Mission Systems as an electromechanical design engineer. During the summer of 2023 she studied statics abroad in Florence, Italy under professor Chuck Krousgrill.  Eva is currently involved in PMEA as a member of the student events committee and a lab instructor for the class How Stuff Works (ME199) for FYE students. She has also been a member of Purdue’s Orientation Programs as a student orientation committee member, a team supervisor, and a team leader. Outside of classes and extracurriculars, Eva enjoys running, working out, playing volleyball, skiing, and going to Purdue’s football/basketball games with friends.
 

Raygan Bingham - Senior | Manufacturing Engineering Intern at GE Vernova | 2023 STARS Student | Remotely Operated underwater Vehicle (ROV) Mechanical Team member

 
Raygan Bingham is a Senior in the school of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. Raygan has spent the past two summers as an operations intern at GE Vernova in Greenville, SC. The summer after her first year at Purdue, she spent her time in the Purdue STARS semiconductor program in West Lafayette, IN. While at GE Vernova, she has focused on enhancing turbine assembly processes through lean methodologies and close collaboration with assemblers and fabricators. She also developed and implemented material pitch plans and FOD (Foreign Object Displacement) prevention strategies, resulting in improved efficiency and safety on the workshop floor. On campus, Raygan is a member of the mechanical sub-team of the Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle (ROV) team, an instructor for ME199, and she serves as the Treasurer for  Purdue Mechanical Engineering Ambassadors. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, running, cooking, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Purdue sports teams.

Tanisha is a senior from Newton, Massachusetts studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Film and Video Studies. Last summer, she interned at Procter & Gamble at their Gillette Manufacturing Center in South Boston and has since accepted a full time offer for Gillette after graduation. She has also previously interned for P&G at their Manufacturing Center in Lima, Ohio where she worked in Quality Assurance. She has studied abroad in Florence, Italy whilst completing ME 270 and finished a practical training at Braun in Kronberg, Germany where she worked on a project in their Additive Manufacturing department and spent her time creating and analyzing different models of shavers on various 3D printers. Tanisha has been involved in PMEA, EPICS, and BGR Orientation Programs. She is also an undergraduate TA for ENGR 133 and 132, is one of the Course Coordinators and Instructors for “How Stuff Works” (ME 199), and serves as the PMEA representative on the ME Community and Belonging Taskforce. In her free time, Tanisha loves playing IM volleyball, going to Purdue basketball games, playing guitar, and spending time with her friends!

Emily is a senior from Evansville, Indiana, studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Design and Innovation. This past summer, she interned with Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana in Princeton, Indiana. At Toyota, Emily worked as a manufacturing engineer over a process in the paint department, looking to improve material application efficiency and spearheading line issues. As a member of PMEA, this semester Emily is a member of the Students Events Committee. Outside PMEA, Emily is involved with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), serving on the board of directors and previously the club’s External Vice President. In her free time, Emily enjoys playing soccer, volleyball, knitting, baking, and doing arts and crafts.

Emma Bedwell is a Senior studying mechanical engineering from Aurora, Illinois. During the summer of 2024, Emma interned as a quality engineer at John Deere Harvester Works on the X9 Combine assembly line. This past summer, Emma worked at John Deere Turf care as a product engineer specializing in the design of mechanical and hydraulic systems for golf equipment. Outside of her studies, Emma was Vice President of Personnel and a past director for the APEX committee on the Purdue Student Engineering Foundation. In her current role, Emma leads directors and general personnel to provide support to fulfill all responsibilities. As APEX director, she organized and coordinated an annual event that allowed high school students across the country to explore engineering opportunities. She also gives weekly tours and presentations of Purdue’s College of Engineering to groups of up to 200 prospective students and families. As a member of the Purdue Mechanical Engineering Ambassadors, Emma has served on the outreach and public relations committees while instructing How Stuff Works classes. Additionally, Emma is the head choreographer of the Higher Ground Dance Company, where she gets to spend time with peers and express her creativity through a unique outlet. Aside from dance, Emma enjoys spending time with her friends, trying new coffee shops, golfing, and going to Purdue sporting events.

Nicole is a senior from Northbrook, IL studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Psychology. After graduation, she will be working for Honda in East Liberty, Ohio as a Product Engineer. This past summer, she interned at Lockheed Martin Space in Littleton, Colorado as Manufacturing Engineering Intern for the Electrical Ground Support Fabrication Lab, supporting the lab and providing resources to optimize production. The year prior, she interned at International Motors in Lisle, Illinois as a Body Engineering Intern. Outside PMEA, Nicole is involved with the Society of Women Engineers as Faculty and Alumni Chair, the Purdue Student Engineering Foundation as part of the APEX committee, and is a Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholar. She also is a part of the Honors Mentor Program in the fall semesters, and conducts honors interdisciplinary research through the Polytechnic School. In her free time, Nicole enjoys scrapbooking, journaling, and hanging out with friends.
 
 

Saketh Belde | Sophomore from Memphis, TN | Mechanical Engineering | FedEx | Hypersonics | PMEA | PURPL

 

Saketh is a Sophomore in Mechanical Engineering from Memphis, TN. Previously, he completed hypersonics research at the University of Memphis where he worked on optimizing the geometry of a scramjet inlet for improved performance and efficiency. This summer, he will be joining FedEx as an Aircraft Operations intern at the HQ in Memphis. On campus, Saketh is involved with PMEA in the Student Events committee and PURPL where he is working on a thrust chamber assembly for a turbopump rocket engine. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports, watching movies, hanging out with friends, and working out.

Leo Alvis is a Junior from Ferdinand, Indiana, majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Finance. This past summer, Leo was a mechanical engineering intern at Jasper Engines and Transmissions. In this role, he developed processes to manufacture common failure parts in engines and other drivetrain components. He also designed and implemented solutions to improve workplace ergonomics and increase worker productivity. At Purdue, Leo is a member of the Student Events committee for the Purdue Mechanical Engineering Ambassadors. He serves as Treasurer and pit crew member for Cary Racing. In his free time, Leo enjoys swimming, working out, reading, and drawing.

 

 

Ben Dimmic - Sophomore from St. Louis, MO | Mechanical Engineering | Essex Industries Intern | PMEA Student Events Member | PESC Alumni Relations Committee Head and EXPO Seminars Coordinator | EPICS

 

Ben Dimmic is a sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering from St. Louis, Missouri. Ben has spent two summers interning with Essex Industries as a manufacturing engineering intern. In his time at Essex Industries he helped to design custom SOLIDWORKS CAD models to mask aerospace components, as well as utilizing 3D printing to create early prototypes. At Essex Industries he also custom made a safety fixture designed to protect the testing operator from unexpected shocks utilizing a contact switch. This semester, Ben is on the PMEA Student Events committee where he will help to plan and execute multiple events for mechanical engineers at Purdue, such as the sophomore social. Outside of PMEA, Ben is also involved with the Purdue Engineering Student Council (PESC) where he is currently serving as the Alumni Relations committee head. In this role, Ben manages a committee focused on bridging the gap between current and past PESC members by providing alumni mentorship, on-campus events for alumni, and even visits to alumni lead companies. In addition to this, Ben is currently the Seminars Coordinator for the 2026 EXPO career fair, and was previously an Engineering Outreach committee member. In his free time, Ben enjoys playing any sport, longboarding, and riding roller coasters.

Charlie Davis is Sophomore from Los Angeles, California who is studying Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Art & Design. He is still looking for and applying to mechanical engineering internships to work over the summer of 2026, but if he can’t find one, he’ll be a sleep away camp counselor again. Last summer he worked at an amazing sleep away camp called Shaffer’s High Sierra Camp, where he improved his leadership and teamwork skills, became a better communicator, and was able to see how much he could affect a child’s life in a positive way! Charlie loves designing and working with his hands which has led him to make numerous projects using woodworking, welding, and many other design/art forms. He has used these skills in the Electric Vehicle Club where he has begun to design a rear-swing arm for the electric motorcycle that the club is building. As a new PMEA member in the Student Events committee, he hopes to run fun and helpful events for ME students and get to know all the PMEA members! In his free time, he loves to play volleyball, rock climb , sketch, and cook.
