Aaliyah Zamorano is a junior from Roseville, CA, majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Electrical & Computer Engineering. She most recently worked as a Process Engineering Intern at AB CNC, conducting quality inspections across production lines, identifying defects against engineering specifications and ISO standards, and diagnosing major issues to recommend process improvements. Previously, she served as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at AB CNC, focusing on CNC lathe and mill operations, and as an Operations Intern at Cedar Point, where she refined standard operating procedures for Lost & Found services. Aaliyah has also pursued global and research experiences, studying ME 200 (Thermodynamics) in Prague under Dr. Carl Wassgren and participating in undergraduate research in the Meta Acoustics Lab at Herrick Laboratories under Dr. Junfei Li, where she assists with experiments on ultrasonic deicing for refrigeration and heat pumping equipment. Additionally, she will complete another Maymester abroad in May 2026 studying ME 354 (Machine Design) in Heidelberg under Professor Jitesh Panchal. She is actively involved in leadership and outreach as the PMEA Outreach Committee Head, Social Director for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), a member of SWE’s Grand Prix Team, and a Team Supervisor and Team Leader for Boiler Gold Rush (BGR) for the past two years, and she will join Caterpillar as a Validation Engineering Intern in Summer 2026. In her free time, Aaliyah enjoys swimming, playing multiple instruments, spending time with friends and family, and rating grilled cheese.

Avantika is a junior studying Mechanical Engineering from San Jose, California with a minor in Materials Science and Engineering. This past summer, she did a co-op at GE Appliances, a Haier Company, in Louisville, Kentucky. At GEA, she tested and analyzed data for washers using Python to improve out-of-balance algorithms and design specifications for noise and vibration. This upcoming summer, she will be interning at SpaceX on the Starlink Loads and Dynamics team. In PMEA, Avantika is a member of the Public Relations committee working on flyers and posts for the social media accounts. Outside PMEA, Avantika is an active member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and serves as the Director of Industrial Relations and a Vehicle Performance Lead for the Racing team. She was also a TA of the ASME CAD Milestones program. In EPICS, Avantika was the design lead of the EPICS Speedway Wind Tunnel team where she designed a model wind tunnel that simulates racing aerodynamics and will be displayed at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. In her free time, Avantika enjoys Indian classical dance and bollywood, binging new TV shows, baking, sand volleyball, pickleball, video games, and traveling.

Ervin Liao is a junior in Mechanical Engineering from Portland, Oregon. This past summer, he interned at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies in Atlanta, Georgia; he also previously participated in the Purdue SURF program, as well as multiple semesters of undergraduate research in additive manufacturing. Ervin’s campus involvements include serving as the VP External of the Taiwanese Student Association and volunteering for the Asian American and Asian Resource and Cultural Center (AAARCC). He also competes in drone racing for Purdue as part of the drone club and is a TA for ENGR 16X. In his free time, Ervin enjoys traveling, cooking, and trying new things.

Maura is a junior from Mequon, WI, majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Electrical and Computer Engineering. This past summer, Maura interned at Caterpillar as a Turbocharger Application Engineering Intern, where she conducted research to identify technologies that could be used to mitigate turbocharger compressor fouling due to closed crankcase ventilation systems. She also formulated test plans to validate these technologies for future implementation. Additionally, Maura previously worked as an Application Engineering Intern at Rockwell Automation, where she engineered customer modifications to Allen-Bradley low voltage motor control centers. At Purdue, Maura conducts research in Dr. Nicole Key’s High Speed Compressor Lab at Zucrow Laboratories. Additionally, she is a member of the Purdue Mechanical Engineering Ambassadors, serving on their Outreach Committee. Maura is also the Technical Director: Motorsports Focus for the Purdue Society of Women Engineers, and is a driver and pit crew member for their Grand Prix team. Lastly, Maura is a member of the Purdue University Run Club. In May of 2026, Maura will be completing a Maymester in Heidelberg, Germany studying ME 354 (Machine Design) under Professor Jitesh Panchal. to In her free time, Maura enjoys reading, hiking, running, and trying new coffee places.

Brynn is a sophomore from Hinsdale, IL studying mechanical engineering with a minor in design and innovation and a member of the John Martinson Honors college. She has worked as an intern at julian electric where she worked with the design team to automate their cable design process. She spent last summer on a maymester to Greece learning about reconstruction of ancient sites and working as a camp counsellor as a waterski instructor. She will spend the next summer in Wisconsin working for Walsh group in their construction of Microsoft’s upcoming data centers. On campus, Brynn is a member of PMEA and serves on the outreach committee. She is also a member of Alpha Chi Omega where she serves on the standards board. In her free time she enjoys water activities, skiing/snowboarding, crafts, hanging out with friends, and watching movies.

Bridget O’Donnell is a sophomore studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in manufacturing from Overland Park, KS. This past summer, she worked at Webco Manufacturing as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, where she designed weld fixtures for the automated fabrication of large-scale metal structures and supported process improvements on the production floor. Previously, she served as a Robotics Engineering Intern, programming and simulating robotic welding systems for automated assembly operations. On campus, Bridget has conducted research with humanoids in TRACE Lab and is a member of SWE and her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. In her free time, Bridget enjoys hiking, fishing, crafts, volunteering, and being a huge KC Chiefs fan.

Luke DeLorenzo is a junior from Syracuse, NY majoring in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. He has had 2 internship experiences: one with Innovative Scientific Solutions, Inc. (ISSI), where he designed test infrastructure for a turbine engine and ran test operations on RDEs, & one at Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Cleveland, where he developed test fixtures, led engineering-driven tests, and conducted engineering investigations into failed pumps returned from the field. He looks forward to joining Blue Origin in Summer 2026 as a Propulsion Engineering Intern. Luke enjoys staying very involved in the Purdue community. He is a Purdue Mechanical Engineering Ambassador on the Outreach Committee, the Director of Community for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and a member of the Turbojet team of Purdue Undergraduate Rocket Propulsion Lab. He is also very involved in his fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega, serving as the President and Signature Event Chairman. Here, he heads the organization of the fraternity’s Signature Event, Tri For Tim, in honor of a brother who passed away 2 years ago while training for a triathlon. He has also completed 2 semesters of undergraduate research in the School of Mechanical Engineering & is currently in his third. Under Dr. Jitesh Panchal, he researched the AI-based generative design of the pedal & crank mechanism of a bicycle for use in the 2028 Olympic games. Under Dr. Benxin Wu, he researched the optimization of Selective Laser Melting/Laser Powder Bed Fusion additive manufacturing methods. Currently, under Professor Guillermo Paniagua, he is conducting undergraduate research at the Purdue Experimental Turbine Aerothermal Lab (PETAL) within Purdue’s Zucrow Laboratories. Outside of academics, Luke enjoys film photography, listening to new music, watching movies, and spending time in nature.

Jack Doll is a sophomore from Naperville, IL, majoring in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. Jack has 1 internship at Trinity Machined Products. At TMP Jack created several resources to automatically pull and analyze data for the company. Jack also aided in quality control learning and applying GD&T skills along with critical precise measuring techniques. At Purdue University Jack is involved in Purdue Mechanical Engineering Ambassadors where he is involved within the Outreach Committee, the Purdue SAE Baja team, Purdue Boiler Gold Rush as a Team Supervisor, and serves as the House Improvement chair at Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. In his free time Jack enjoys working out, tinkering with electronics and engines, spending time with friends, and getting free food at Jimmy Johns.

Colt Sullivan is a sophomore from San Francisco, CA, majoring in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. At Purdue, he is involved in Purdue Mechanical Engineering Ambassadors on the Outreach Team, EPICS MED where he works on an Animatronic Hand project in partnership with the Kurt Vonnegut Museum inspired by Slaughterhouse Five, and PURPL where he is on the Turbopump team. Colt is also a member of ASME on the Energy and Consulting teams. He also serves as Vice President of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity dealing with internal affairs of the chapter. Outside of academics, he enjoys golfing, playing volleyball, and spending time with friends and family.

Eric Xie is a junior from Fremont, California, studying Mechanical Engineering. Previously, he was a mechanical engineering intern for Lutron Electronics, doing tooling work for new product assembly. He was also a design extern for George Marks Children’s House, designing projects for pediatric palliative care patients to do with their families. The experience reinforced his understanding of the design cycle and taught him the importance of working with the end consumer. For his work, he received a California State Assembly Certificate of Recognition. This summer, he will be a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for Formlabs. On campus, Eric works as an Undergraduate Assistant for the Knowledge Lab, a TA for the Becthel Design and Innovation Center, and is a tutor for the School of Mechanical Engineering. He is also involved with the Purdue Space Program Spaceport team and the Chinese American Student Association. Besides academics, Eric enjoys skiing, flower arrangement, and listening to music.

Nolan Heuermann is a mechanical engineering sophomore from Minnesota. He is a mechanical engineering intern at Dunham Engineering and Consulting where he works heavily with revit and works in person on HVAC systems. In PMEA he is a member of the outreach committee. He is heavily involved in his fraternity Delta Sigma Phi where he has been elected as the house manager in charge of maintenance, supply, and renovations on the chapter house. He is also a member of the ASME Biomechanics team where he works heavily with Fusion and works on 3d printing and machining parts for prosthetics. In his free time he is an avid sports fan who loves both watching and playing football, basketball and baseball.

Parker Hollis is a sophomore from Atlanta, Georgia, studying mechanical engineering with minors in Japanese and Global Engineering Studies as part of the GEARE program. This past summer, Parker developed his Japanese language skills through an intensive language program in Nagoya, Japan. He plans to return to Japan at Tohoku University in the spring of 2027. On campus, he is involved in the PMEA as part of the outreach committee, the Japan Student Association, Purdue Baja Racing, Delta Upsilon International Fraternity, and Purdue Orientation Programs as a BGR Supervisor. Parker is also an instructor for the Engineering Leadership Fundamentals Milestones Course. This upcoming summer, he is excited to work as a mechanical engineering intern at Duke Energy’s Gibson Generating Station in Owensville, IN. In his free time, Parker enjoyed studying Japanese, basketball, running, lifting, hiking, baseball, and all Purdue sports.
