The Midwest Mechanics of Materials and Structures (MidMechMat) is a one day workshop that aims at bringing together researchers from the Midwest universities and industries working on contemporary topics in mechanics of new, complex and multi-functional materials to exchange ideas, present their most exciting research and explore new collaboration avenues in an informal and vibrant setting.

This year's workshop will be hosted by Purdue University on August 11, 2017. The program includes student oral presentations, a poster session, and invited talks. Confirmed speakers include:
