JTRP provides networking opportunities and engagement activities at Executive Committee Meeting

On August 23, 2019, the JTRP Executive Committee met at the Indiana Corn and Soybean Innovation Center in West Lafayette. Following the meeting, 90 attendees from public agencies, industry, and Purdue participated in networking and demonstrations related to emerging technology.

Special guests Karen Plaut, Dean of Agriculture Purdue University; Beth Bechdol, President AgriNovus; Justin Schneider, Government Relations Director Farm Bureau; Dan Popkin, Senior Vice President Trimble MAPS; and Meg Novacek, Senior Consultant, J.D. Power; provided opening remarks regarding emerging collaboration opportunities. Interactive demonstrations included

  • Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) for Agriculture, Highways, Airports
  • LiDAR Mobile Mapping for Agriculture, Ditch lines, Work zones, Roadway Vegetation
  • Slow Moving Vehicle App for INDOT Workzones and Ag Equipment
  • Integration of Interstate Queueing into Commercial Vehicles
  • Automated Liquid Route Application with Electric Vehicle
  • Connected Traffic Signals
