Concrete Resistivity Testing

This new equipment and testing procedures allows INDOT to improve its quality control testing processes by using devices that can quickly identify fluid transport (ion diffusion) properties of a sample. The devices will provide a simple to use, cost effective and efficient method of measuring properties of the concrete that will help determine the quality and durability of the concrete being used on a project. This training is a part of JTRP project SPR-3509 Maturity Method for Prediction of Concrete Resistance to Chloride Ion Penetration. The report detailed below provides additional information on these processes.
