Who's Your Helper: Story of Indiana's Hoosier Helpers (link to video on YouTube) is an account of INDOT's Hoosier Helper Program that has provided more than 20 years of service to our state. This documentary was released by PBS station WFYI on October 5, 2012
The documentary references a JTRP project (about 5 minutes into the video) from 1997 entitled "An Evaluation of the Cost Effectiveness of the Hoosier Helper Program and Framework for the Design of ITS Optimal System Configuration." This report was prepared by Steven P. Latoski, Raktim Pal, and Kumares C. Sinha.
The video also has several comments by INDOT Deputy Commissioner Jay Wasson, who worked on JTRP related traffic management projects during his studies at Purdue in the 1990's as well as several recent implementation efforts.
