The INSPIRE Research Institute for Pre-College Engineering is a research center in the School of Engineering Education (the world's first) at Purdue University focusing on pre-college engineering education research and integration with science, technology, mathematics and literacy.
INSPIRE is composed of faculty, staff, postdoctoral researchers, graduate and undergraduate research assistants on a mission to study pre-college engineering experiences and environments in order to impact educational systems. INSPIRE's research informs the development of curricula, assessment instruments, teacher and parent education, museum exhibits, afterschool programs, and STEM education policy within the full spectrum of P-12 engineering education.
INSPIRE is composed of 15+ faculty, staff, and postdoctoral researchers and 40+ graduate and undergraduate research assistants who have come together to achieve our vision. An additional 35+ undergraduate students who do other engineering education research are also part of INSPIRE's UPRISE program.
Donations to INSPIRE help us to continue to conduct research that aligns with our mission and that assists us with achieving our vision. INSPIRE is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) research institute, and your contribution is tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.
