As we begin another new year on Purdue's campus, excitement continues to grow about the many things happening here in the School of Industrial Engineering. In this edition of the Purdue IE Webletter we have the opportunity to highlight an alumnus and a faculty member who are making a real difference for Purdue IE and beyond.  When Jim Tompkins was a sophomore in high school, he knew he wanted to be a Purdue industrial engineer. Three degrees and a very successful career later, Jim and his wife Shari give back in a way that inspires leadership while it benefits the school into perpetuity.
