Often, our passions and drive to innovate are derived from our life experiences, and thus diversity of the individuals we work with directly translates to ingenuity and innovation in the workforce. Tragically, educational institutions don’t always serve everyone equally, and the difficult reality is that these failings fall disproportionately on students of colour. The time for change and equality in education is long overdue- I support and value black engineers!
