Monitoring of Exams:

Please expect in-class synchronous exams on the dates shown on the syllabus. If you are unable to be in class at the time of the exam, you will be expected to either be monitored by an approved proctor of Engineering Professional Education, be subject to monitoring by a commercial exam proctoring tool, or have a live WebEx or Zoom feed showing that you are taking the exam without assistance from others with a recording monitored by the instructor. You will be required to be reasonably cooperative in this process to ensure that exams have academic integrity.

Tentative grading scheme:

(At the instructor's discretion at the end of the course, the weighting for homework may be increased to as much as 20%, with the corresponding weighting on tests and the final reduced to as low a level as 8/9 of the listed weightings. That is, the instructor reserves the right to adjust the homework weighting to any level between 10% and 20%. It is possible that a final exam will be given. If a final exam takes place, the weightings of the homework and tests will be proportionally reduced to adjust for the weight given to the final exam.)
