Hello MSE Researchers,

I hope you all are having a good summer so far. As many of you are aware, Purdue's lab spaces are slowly reopening with the addition of specific procedures for prevention of the spread of COVID-19. Armstrong Hall now has an exterior card swipe. In order to gain access to any lab space in the building, you will be required to do the following in order to comply with the university's requirements:

1. Watch REM's On-site Employee Safety video:

a. Link: https://www.purdue.edu/ehps/rem/worker/COVID-19%20Resources.html

2. Read and sign the COVID-19 Safe Work Place SOP for ALL ARMS LAB SPACES YOU USE.

a. Use this link to check what lab spaces you had access to in the past if you are unsure:

                                                               i. https://app.box.com/s/8f2bkanp1h5mei44anystb967oimwqij

b. If your name is missing and you had access to ARMS labs in the past, your access likely expired before March. At this time, you can email me if you need an extension instead of filling out a lab access request form.

c. If you are listed as having access to labs you no longer need or your billing account information has changed (not listed in the shared document), please fill out a lab access request form.

3. Meet virtually with the PI of ALL ARMS LAB SPACES YOU USE to discuss expectations.

4. When complete, login into Brightspace and go to "COVID-19 Safe Work Quiz" in the MSE Lab Safety Course under "General Safety". Fill out this survey to confirm that you have completed all requirements and understand what is expected of you during this time.

5. After I receive your completed survey in Brightspace, I will add card access to ARMS for you. If I already have your signatures (such as for many of the polymer folks), you do not need to complete this step.

Moving forward, you will be required schedule time in lab spaces using RAT in order to prevent crowding in lab spaces using the following link:

If there are any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Stay Safe,
