Last week, the Keystone XL pipeline proposal was rejected, which provided a wave of new information for the discussion! Although President Obama decided NOT to approve the current plan, the door for the company to resubmit a new plan remains open (the TransCanada CEO has indicated that the company will reapply with a modified route<http://torontostar.morningstar.ca/globalhome/industry/news.asp?articleid=533418>). So, there is a one-year window of opportunity during the election season to learn more and engage with the process as it evolves.

Now's the time to get informed! Check out the resources on the website, Google the pipeline, and come to the Keystone Series event this Wednesday (Jan. 25th) from 5:30-7:30PM. The event will use a World Café format<https://owa.purdue.edu/owa/redir.aspx?C=9ab7be7f430d46c49df4d5f6ce081fbd&URL=http%3a%2f%2fwww.youtube.com%2fwatch%3fv%3dYrTKD8NpApY%26feature%3drelated>, which is a series of informal conversations designed to tap our collective intelligence. We need your ideas in order to explore questions that matter, connect diverse perspectives, and share discoveries.

Thanks to those of you who have already sent an RSVP, we'll have plenty of food and are looking forward to seeing you. If you haven't yet, there's still time! Just go to the website and click on the RSVP tab to fill out a short form.

If you're planning to attend, please make sure to check out the discussion topics and articles we've made available online. Please also feel free to bring new content to add to the discussion. http://www.purdue.edu/discoverypark/ese/keystone/
