Hello Everyone!

It is now time to complete the online annual safety refresher training, which is required for all ChE faculty, staff, graduate students, post-doctoral research associates and visiting researchers/scholars, and then log the completion of training. This training is required for our School's ISP recertification with EHS/REM.

Please follow the instructions below and complete the required safety refresher training by the end of Friday, February 24, 2023.

Instructions:

  1.  Access the ChE safety website https://engineering.purdue.edu/ChE/aboutus/safety  and check the information/instructions under Training/ChE Annual Safety Refresher Training
     *   Complete the  ChE specific Annual Safety Refresher Training<https://engineering.purdue.edu/Intranet/Groups/Schools/ChE/SafetyTraining.html> module (including the quiz) relevant for your role in the School and save a PDF copy of the email received upon completion of training.
     *   Complete the Lab Specific Chemical Hygiene Plan (CHP) training by reviewing your lab's CHP and all relevant SOPs (if applicable).
?Complete the  Lab Specific CHP Certification<http://engineering.purdue.edu/ChE/aboutus/safety/documents/Lab%20specific%20CHP%20Certification_edit.pdf> (page 81 of the Purdue CHP) and save a PDF copy

     *   Review the Building Emergency Plan (BEP) for FRNY Building<https://www.purdue.edu/ehps/emergency-preparedness/emergency-plans/bep/building-beps/frny-bep.html>


  1.  Complete "ChE Safety training sign-in sheet<https://purdue.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9GM2OYFHbjJkGa2>" to log your training (everyone needs to log the completion of training)
Log your training after you complete all the steps above; you will need the following documents:

  *   PDF copy of the email received upon completion of ChE specific Annual Safety Refresher Training<http://engineering.purdue.edu/Intranet/Groups/Schools/ChE/SafetyTraining.html>
  *   Completed Lab Specific CHP Certification<http://engineering.purdue.edu/ChE/aboutus/safety/documents/Lab%20specific%20CHP%20Certification_edit.pdf> for the lab(s) you work in (if applicable)


  1.  You will receive an email confirming that you completed and logged the completion of the required training. Keep this email safe, for your records.

Please complete the ChE mandatory safety refresher training and log the completion of training by the end of Friday, February 24, 2023.
