[Che-student-staff-list] Reminder: ChE Mandatory Annual Safety Refresher Training - complete NOW

Hello everyone,

If you completed the safety refresher training - thank you! and you can disregard this email.
However, as of now the completion rate is only 40%. Completion of safety refresher training by everyone in our School is required for the successful ISP recertification of our School during the review meeting with REM next week. We need 100% completion rate by Tuesday, March 8, 2022. If you didn't complete the training yet, please follow the steps in the email below and complete the safety refresher training ASAP, then log the completion of training at this link: Training sign-in sheet<https://purdue.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6hfVnmFl6TtwRJX>.

A few considerations to keep in mind:

  1.  Faculty members: if you have lab based research and are responsible for lab(s), you will also need to submit completed a CHP certification for your labs (one form for all your labs is OK)
  2.  If your research is purely computational, you don't need to submit a CHP certification, but you still need to complete the safety training module relevant to your role in the School and log the completion.
  3.  All researchers, including postdocs, visiting scholars and visiting researchers working in FRNY labs need to complete the safety refresher training and submit relevant documents, regardless of when they had initial training.

Hello Everyone!

It is now time to complete the online Annual Safety Refresher Training, which is required for all ChE faculty, staff, graduate students, post-doctoral research associates and visiting researchers/scholars, and then log the completion of training. You can access the training material and take the quiz on any device linked to the internet, including mobile devices. This training is also required for our School's ISP recertification with REM.

Please follow the instructions below and complete this safety refresher training by the end of Monday, February 28, 2022.

Instructions:

  1.  Access the ChE safety website https://engineering.purdue.edu/ChE/aboutus/safety  and check the information/instructions under Training/ChE Annual Safety Refresher Training
     *   Complete the ChE specific Annual Safety Refresher Training<https://engineering.purdue.edu/Intranet/Groups/Schools/ChE/SafetyTraining.html> module (including the quiz) relevant for your role in the School and save a PDF copy of the email received upon completion of training (you will need to log in with your Purdue credentials to access the materials)
     *   Complete the Lab Specific Chemical Hygiene Plan (CHP) training by reviewing your lab's CHP and all relevant SOPs (if applicable).

?Complete the Lab Specific CHP Certification<https://engineering.purdue.edu/ChE/aboutus/safety/documents/Lab%20specific%20CHP%20Certification_edit.pdf> (page 87 of the Purdue CHP) and save a PDF copy


  1.  Complete "Training sign-in sheet<https://purdue.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6hfVnmFl6TtwRJX>" to log your training (everyone needs to log the completion of training)
Log your training after you complete all the steps above; you will need the following documents:

  1.  You will receive an email confirming the completion of the 2022 Annual Safety Refresher Training. Keep this email safe, for your records.

Please complete the ChE mandatory safety refresher training and log the completion of training by the end of Monday, February 28, 2022.
