[Che-student-staff-list] Updates to the ChE Safety Website

Hello Everyone,

The information under the "Workplace Injury Information" section on the ChE Safety page (https://engineering.purdue.edu/ChE/AboutUs/Safety.html ) was updated to include:

*         instructions on what to do in case of an incident ("What to do if it happens to you?)

*         Incidents and near misses need to be reported. Should an incident or near miss happen in your work area, please complete the Safety Incident/Near Miss Report form (posted on our website and attached to this email) and send me a copy. The attached form is a template, you can use it when reporting incidents and near misses internally.

*         If you need to seek medical attention after an incident, the First Report of Injury (FROI) form needs to be completed and sent to REM (and me, please) via email. The FROI form needs to be completed by the PI.
All the links under this section were updated and will take you to the relevant information.

The document under Safety Update #19 was also updated to include recommendations on checking carts for mechanical integrity before using them for transporting gas cylinders or liquid nitrogen tanks.

A big "Thank You!" to the ChESS leaders who helped in compiling the information  in the first document ("What to do if it happens to you?").
