[Che-student-staff-list] Second fire alarm today

Dear all,

The fire alarm was once again activated today, around 4:10 pm. A water flow sensor in the sprinkler system on the third floor is malfunctioning; this caused the fire alarms to activate.  The Fire Department will put a work order with the Physical Facilities to fix that water sprinkler today, so that we won't have false fire alarms caused by it anymore.

It was good to see that everyone followed the emergency procedures and evacuated the building promptly, gathering around the "Awards Tower" in the Engineering Mall.

Even though we don't like the fire alarms going off, we can consider this event as a good exercise to test the response of the people in our building in case of an emergency that requires evacuation.
