Student Recognition

*         Graduate Student Kathryn Smith received the Fran Allen PhD Fellowship award from IBM for her "outstanding technical accomplishments and commitment to mentoring and community-building.

*         Graduate Student Aniruddha Kelkar will be serving on the Purdue Community Standards Board (CSB) starting this semester, which adjudicates student conduct cases. More details are available on their website http://www.purdue.edu/odos/osrr/csb.php.

*         Senior Candace Corso is the President for the Professional Practice Ambassadors student organization, which is comprised of students from multiple disciplines at Purdue, including all engineering schools.



Miscellaneous

*         Attached are the updated contact information sheet for faculty and staff and the current members of our email lists.

*         The 2011-12 Work Environment Satisfaction Surveys will be coming out this week. Please watch for a message from Michelle Jansen, our HR coordinator. Responses are due by November 2, everyone who was in our School during the past academic year is encouraged to respond.



New Employees

*         Karissa Raderstorf, Undergraduate Program Administrator, joined us today, October 15. Her email is kraderstorf at purdue.edu<mailto:kraderstorf at purdue.edu>, her phone is 40756. She is located in FRNY 1057A.

*         October 28 - November 2 - AIChE Annual meeting, our School reception will take place on October 29th at 7.00 pm
