Dear All,

	A friendly reminder to those who have not turned in their United Way card. Please return it whether you donate or not. Please put you name at the bottom of the envelop.  Please return them to me at your earliest convenience.  At the end of the campaign (November 9), for those who turn in the envelop, I will put their name in a drawing and the winners will receive a United Way T-Shirt.

	United Way is a wonderful foundation, which helps developing solutions for poverty, tackling homelessness and supporting groundbreaking reading programs in local schools .... United Way of Greater Lafayette is right there, helping build extraordinary futures for many, and we need your support. 

	For the past 23 years, Purdue's United Way campaign has helped our community connect, educate, and involve students, faculty, staff and retirees in the care and nurturing of our local community.  

	United Way of Greater Lafayette's goal this year is $4.7 million.  Purdue needs to raise $745,000 of this amount.  Please make a donation again this year or give for the first time to assure the important work of United Way of Greater Lafayette will continue.

If you are interested in giving at a leadership level, a grant from the Indiana Association of United Ways and the Lilly Endowment, will match every new or increased unrestricted dollar contributed through the vanguard program dollar for dollar.  

	Local families, individuals, children and the elderly benefit greatly from y our gift.  The work these agencies do, and the support they give to those in need of a helping hand, go a long way toward keeping our community, safe, secure, and a very special place to live.
