Subject: Health and Wellbeing Scholarship Spring 2025

Hello CCE Graduate Students,

We are accepting applications for the Spring 2025 Health and Wellbeing Scholarship.

Purpose: The Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering recognizes the importance of maintaining your health and wellbeing as a graduate student. To help alleviate some of the financial burden that graduate students are subject to through healthcare, daycare and insurance costs, the Burke CE Graduate Program offers this Scholarship.

The Health and Wellbeing Scholarship has two categories: 1) Childcare/Dependent Care and 2) Individual Wellbeing Care. For Spring 2025, we will have a total of twenty scholarships - ten $750 scholarships available in each category.

The Childcare/Dependent Care scholarship is meant to help with the challenges of raising a family. The scholarship funds can be used for medical expenses, daycare or after-school care costs, and food security, etc.

The Individual Wellbeing Care scholarship is meant to help individual students with health and wellbeing expenses such as medical expenses and food security.

The scholarships will be processed through the Bursar's office and the student's myPurdue account and will first be applied to any outstanding balances owed to the University. Students are eligible to receive a Health and Wellbeing Scholarship once every two years.

Eligibility:

One application per household. Graduate students must be:

  * Enrolled in at least 3 credits in a residential master's or Ph.D. program in the Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering during the award semester.
  * Must have completed at least one semester in the Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering graduate program.
  * Must be in good standing with the University (not on academic or other probation)

If you are interested in applying, please complete the attached application and return it to jricksy at purdue.edu<mailto:jricksy at purdue.edu> by February 24, 2025. We anticipate continuing this scholarship offer in future semesters as long as the funding is available.

Regards,
Jenny
