Subject: Midterm Evaluations for Fall 2025

Dear CCE Faculty/Instructors,

If you would like to have midterm evaluations conducted for your course(s), please reply back and confirm by Friday 9/12.

The midterm evaluations are designed to help instructors assess and improve their course delivery. The results of these evaluations will be available to instructors only, though instructors may choose to share the formative results with their departments. Midterm evaluations will run Monday through Friday of Week 6 (depending on breaks during the semester). Reminders and response rate updates will be sent Wednesday and Friday.

The midterm evaluation consists of the following five questions, established specifically by IDP:

1. What about the environment, activities, and structure of this course are helping your learning?

2. What specific suggestions do you have for changing the environment, activities, or structure of the course to better help your learning?

3. What are some things that your instructor does well, e.g., something you hope that the instructor will continue to do in the class in the future?

4. Do you have a suggestion(s) for improving the course (a criticism alone is not helpful; instead, provide some feedback that would help your instructor improve the course)?

5. Is there any other feedback you would like to provide to your instructor(s)?

Thanks and best,
Brad
