Each year we recognize and encourage excellence among the graduate teaching assistants and instructors in the Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering by making awards to the best eligible students. Within CCE, the Munson endowment makes this possible.  The Munson Award was established in 1973 and recognizes four candidates with $2000 each, three for a teaching assistant with student contact and one for a teaching assistant who has had no student contact.  The College of Engineering also recognizes outstanding teaching with the Magoon Awards - we have can nominate two students for these awards as well.
Although we use the course/TA evaluations collected by the University, we also encourage faculty to provide supplemental material for any TA they have supervised.  We will consider this information in conjunction with any student evaluations we may have.
If you supervised a CCE Grad Student as a TA during 2024, that you would like to provide supplemental support for their consideration, please complete the attached form and include a nomination letter or other supporting documents (max of two additional pages).  We are accepting information for contact, non-contact and Lyles TA's.  I have listed those students that are eligible below.
