Hello CCE Faculty,

We recieved the final information about the recruiting fellowship nomination process. The PhD fellowships this year will be 1-year Ross Fellowships. The rate for the guaranteed year will be $35,000 , then the faculty member/area will be responsible for three additional years of funding, at a minimum of $35,000 (or the CCE minimum rate, whichever is higher).

  * US Citizen or Permanent Residents Only
  *   Minimum GPA of 3.20/4.00

Selection Criteria:
* Potential of research success based on excellence of academic record and preparedness and strength of recommendation letters
* Potential of success based on evidence in essays, letters, or CV showing resilience, leadership potential, outperforming their environment, or other attributes that contribute to success as a PhD student
* Holistic review of candidate across the above two attributes
* Comments from the school level review (via the rubric in Slate) are strongly encouraged and very helpful to reviewers.

We will accept 3 ranked Ross nominations per area (with 5 from Structures). If you would like to nominate a student, please complete the attached form and send it to your area graduate rep (feel free to copy me if you would like to) so they can be evaluated within your area. The area ranked lists must be submitted to me by January 12, 2026 at 8:00 am. Our nominations will be ranked by the CCE Grad Committee, and our top students will be sent to the College for evaluation there - we can send 12 nominations.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,
Jenny
