In addition to showcasing impacts that NSF engineering research and education funding have made possible, the study also presents outreach examples that provide positive messages about engineering to diverse audiences. The report addresses the considerations that go into communicating impacts and what research tells us about them, enumerates the many audiences there are for such communication, provides links to example outreach materials and details of the reasoning behind them, and offers conclusions and recommendations regarding future communications efforts.
