[Cce-faculty-list] New Application Review Process

Hello CCE Faculty,

The University is retiring the GradDB system where we do our application reviews and maintain current student information.  A new system, currently called Graduate Records Management (GRM), through SalesForce, will replace GradDB.  This should roll out in October/November 2024.  However, the GRM will not house the application review functionality.  We will have to complete the application review through Slate, which is the current Graduate School application system.

We have put together written instructions, attached.  Please review the instructions and ensure you have access to Slate: https://gradapply.purdue.edu/manage/. If not, please let me know immediately.  Keep in mind that you must be up to date on your certifications:
                *              Data Classification and Handling Educational Resources
*              Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
*              Gramm Leach Bliley Act/Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999 (GLBA)
*              Protecting Social Security Numbers at Purdue University

There is also a general video training session available. That link is also attached. There is also a link to it in the written instruction document.

The application deadline for spring 2025 applications is September 15th.  We will begin releasing the applications for review in Slate this week.  You should complete the admission reviews in Slate by October 11th. We will not be monitoring GradDB for reviews.

Next year, GRM will also replace the Graduate School Database, where we do the Plans of Study and Exam forms.  Training for the GRM will begin later this semester.
