CCE is excited to announce two new academic advisors (Melody Carducci and Laura Lathrop) have joined our school to advise the BSCE students.  Melody will also be the CCE Study Abroad Liaison as part of her role replacing Marty Lah who retired at the end of May.

Melody is a proud Purdue Alum, with a BA in Education, and a MS in Leadership and Innovation.  She is an experienced advisor who has worked with graduate students as well as undergraduates, most recently in CIT in the Polytechnic.  She is passionate about encouraging first generation college students and incorporating peer mentoring into her advising when possible.   In her free time Melody and her husband Pat enjoy travel and working with animal rescue.  They have been fostering and rescuing Basset Hounds with Ohio Basset Rescue for the last 15 years.  They currently have two bassets, Murphy, and Lucy.  They also enjoy following Purdue Sports.

Laura and her family moved to Indiana from Minnesota in 2021, and she has been part of the Purdue community for almost 2 years, previously in the ISS office. She studied history as an undergraduate, taught at Yinchuan University (China) while completing her MA in teaching, and has been involved in many varying forms of education since then. During her free time, she enjoys good books, long walks, and family road trips (although her 3 cats prefer to stay home).
