Previous National Effective Teaching Institute (NETI) programs have reached over 3000 participants from more than 370 different schools.
Participants will include up to 60 faculty members from all branches of engineering, engineering technology, and other STEM areas. Faculty at all levels of experience benefit from our content and are equipped to increase student learning and become teaching leaders on their campuses.
Registration is $1275 per person (4th from the same institution FREE!) which includes organization and presentation costs, participant notebooks, lunches and breaks, a copy of Felder & Brent's Teaching and Learning STEM: A Practical Guide and the option of touring the the facilities of Purdue's School of Engineering Education.

Dr. Susan Lord is the recipient of more than ten teaching and diversity promotion awards including several from IEEE, ASEE and USD. She has given more than 100 workshops in the last 20+ years and has received awards for workshops from Frontiers in Education. She has 250+ journal and conference publications in her research areas of Student pathways in engineering; Sociotechnical nature of engineering; Culturally sustaining Pedagogies; Lifelong Learning; Student veterans in engineering and Institutional change in engineering education. Dr. Matthew Ohland has received five significant teaching awards in Engineering Education. Dr. Michael Prince is an ASEE and Bucknell teaching award recipient. He has conducted over 200 workshops in the last 25 years and has published over 200 Journal articles and conference papers in his research areas of research-based instructional practices and promoting change. His leadership in the area of faculty development in engineering education is well known and he is the proud author of the most cited Journal of Engineering Education publication in recent years. Mike is one of the most visible and active leaders in faculty development and is especially well known in the area of active learning where he has written or co-written some of the key research pieces that summarized a broad literature on active learning strategies and the research on their effectiveness.
