Post-Doc Positions in Nanostructured Materials & Devices at the Air Force Research Laboratory

We are seeking qualified candidates to conduct post-doctoral research in the areas of nanostructured materials and devices as part of a team of scientists in the Materials & Manufacturing Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory, WPAFB, Ohio. Our research covers a broad range of topics including structure/processing/properties relationships in nanomaterials, polymers, and metamaterials. We also investigate materials, processes, and architectures for devices such as sensors, flexible electronics, batteries, capacitors, and solar cells.

Applicants should have experience in one or more of the areas listed as well as a PhD in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field. Experience in characterization methods, device physics, and device fabrication is also desired. Our work commonly involves techniques such as scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, x-ray diffraction, and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy among others.

Candidates must have permanent U.S. residency status and can contact Benjamin Leever (Benjamin.Leever at wpafb.af.mil<mailto:Benjamin.Leever at wpafb.af.mil>) for more information.
