[BNC-grads-list] new printers/copiers: get your access code from your professor

We now have two new Toshiba printers/copiers in the Birck Center
     in BRK 1022
     in BRK 1222.

IKON copier still in place during this transition
     in BRK 2020 [to be replaced by mid-September]

*DEPARTMENT ID NUMBERS -- NEW IDs for Toshiba copiers*
     You will need your professor's permission to access the Birck
printers:  please contact your professor for your group ID number.

     Use your old code for the IKON copier in 2020 until it is replaced.

*SET UP -- PC users*
If you are using a PC and were set up to use the printer/copier in either
1022 or 1222, you shouldn’t have to change any settings.  Be sure that
you’ve selected the correct printer in which to print.  If you need
assistance, visit “Instructions for installing the printer” [

Instructions for setting up this new department code on your computers is

*SET UP -- Mac users*
Visit ecn’s knowledge base for the Toshiba print drivers you’ll need for
both types of copiers and following the instructions to load the printer to
your system. [Visit

For further assistance, contact machelp at ecn.purdue.edu.

To set the department code, in any application chose file, print; drill down
to print mode; change the box to “enable” job accounting and enter your
pre-assigned code; save preset as “job accounting enabled.”  If you always
use this setting, you’ll be able to print to the printer without entering a
job code.

jump drive!  Print from desktop or jump drive!  Learn more . . .
