[Bnc-facility-notice] NOTICE - Birck Nanotechnology Cleanroom Is Open for Research

Dear BNC Users -



All building systems are back to normal operation.  The physical facilities maintenance crews have been focused on cleaning BRK cleanroom early this morning to speed up cleanroom recovery.



Going forward please use ILabs to check on the status of the research tool.   All research tools in the center did lost power as well and the recovery time could be lengthy.

We are sorry for the unscheduled electrical interruption that was out of BRK's control.  Please let us know if you notice anything unusual in the research spaces.

Dear BNC user



All power has been restored to the building and we are currently restarting building systems.  There was a fresh dead squirrel found in one of the switch gears outside that shorted between power phases in our gear.  The cleanroom went slightly negative during the power outage so it will take up to 24 hours before the cleanroom to stabilize and decontaminate.   I will update the follow list as conditions change in the building.
