Dear Friends,

It is with some sadness but mostly joy to inform you that Mary Jo is retiring after 27 years of service at Purdue University and 17 of those years working for Birck Nanotechnology Center.  Mary Jo will be greatly missed and will leave a large hole in our hearts and organization.  I have had the pleasure to work closely with Mary Jo prior to the center's opening in 2004.

We are planning on a celebration gathering in the Birck Nanotechnology atrium on Wednesday December 1 from 1PM to 3PM.  Please RSVP both me and Nancy Black (blackn at purdue.edu<mailto:blackn at purdue.edu>) by  November 24, 2021 if you plan to join us in the atrium.   We will be accepting donations for a retirement gift for Mary Jo if you care to do so.  You can drop off our donation with Nancy Black in BRK 2287 during business hours.

We also setup a web link and encourage everyone to add any well wishes, memories, or  photos, from working with Mary Jo over the years at https://forms.gle/GCPbgZnE7g2E6KXN7.  If for some reason you can not add your memories please forward them to me and I will copy them into the file myself.
