[Bnc-facility-notice] The Birck Preventive Maintenance Work is Complete

Dear All BNC Users -

The preventive maintenance work on the Birck Nanotechnology Facility has been completed successfully, and the cleanroom and laboratories are now open for research.

Some equipment is still down for cleaning & maintenance so please check i-Labs for individual equipment status.  Additionally, please note that the S-Bay solvent hood is reserved for staff use on Monday through Wednesday of next week, Oct. 25, 26, & 27.  This is necessary for cleaning of internal evaporator parts so the e-beams can be brought back to use in the most efficient and expeditious manner.

Noteworthy improvements during this PM shutdown week include adding soft water to the dicing saws, and reconfiguring west-end cleanroom hoods to gain more exhaust capacity.
