Dear All,
We had Purdue 2050 Conference of the Future just one year ago. It is amazing how today’s world is different. We certainly didn’t anticipate that last September! I am sure that there will be many unanticipated events in years to come but what really shapes the future is human imagination which was the theme of last year’s experiential conference.
We now have a website where you can see a short video summary of the conference (main page) and the links to many of the talks (see speakers page):

* 1:30pm Anna Ridler, an artist from London, Art and Artificial Intelligence; Anne Fliotsos, International Telepresence Theatre

Location:
The conference room of the future at Honors Hall is designed in collaboration with Purdue’s Department of Art and Design. Students from Jan Allebach’s group will demonstrate video analytics of participants' facial expressions. This will provide real-time feedback to the speakers and audience, helping evaluate how new ideas are received.
Exhibitions:
Digital Borneo, immersive sounds from 100 million years old rainforest prepared in collaboration between Bryan Pijanowski’s Center for Soundscape Engineering and the newly developed transparent and flexible speakers fabricated by Miko Cakmak’s group at the Birck Center; Plasmonic Kaleidoscope/ Mandalas -a collaboration between Sasha Boltasseva’s nanophotonics researchers and a local artist, etc.
